Please do not ask when mod authors will update their mods to v3.8.3. Bothering mod authors will lead to warnings and repeat offenses will lead to eventual bans.
Makes 40-45 round extended mags only take 2 slots in the inventory instead of 3!
Finally making them a more viable option before getting quad stack 60 rounders.
Also prevents the base gun from being an extra row taller in the inventory when an extended mag is inserted.
If you want the 100 round STANAG to also be 2 slots tall, set config.json -> maxMagazineCapacityToBeIncluded to 100.
Installation:
Copy contents of zip file to <spt-dir>/user/mods.
Also clean Temp files using the Aki.Launcher settings in the top right to get updated icons for the new slot size!

- Reduced config.json minMagazineCapacityToBeIncluded to 10 to include Saiga 10 round ext mag.
- Updated code to only look at existing extended mags that are over 2 slots tall (and 1 slot wide) so only 8 items are touched.

Awesome and well done!! - the fully proper way to provide a balance for using larger mags might be to increase movement penalties of rigs when these mags are equipped to them - ie. irl larger mags will tuck into the same pockets but protrude more - sometimes being a real pita...

I did paste zip files in user/mods and clear temp files via launcher and it stll doesn't work.
Any help??

Can you send me a picture of your user/mods files so I can double check you copied over it properly? Even if you dont clear the temp files, the mags should shrink to 2 slots.
Edit: as discussed, please put the single folder from the zip file directly into user/mods. Do not go inside the folder in the zip and paste the contents into user/mods. Each mod should have its own folder in user/mods

So, Plat? We need to manually move the whole Folder into Bepinex and into Plugins folder?
Because i downloaded the Zipped file into SPT and it extracted contents into SPT, same folder...
Just double checking, since most such mods unzip themselves into the plugins...

molot drum mag is still 2x2 big i cleared cache and increased max mag thingy to 100

Sorry this mod doesn't support drum mags. I thought they should stay 2x2. Might change if enough demand

Where is this file located, exactly?

By default it should be something like "C:\Users\<yourUser>\AppData\Local\Temp\Battlestate Games\EscapeFromTarkov\Icon Cache". The first part can be slightly different for everyone so I didn't include it in the description.

You needn't do that, just click the 'cog' in settings of the SPT launcher and then click 'Clear temp files'

Y'know the sad thing is how in vanilla the 45 mags take up 3 slots, but there's the 5.56 60 rounders that take up 2 slots. Lmao.
This mod makes sense.

Stanag and PMAG 60s are designed fat and girthy instead of long and skinny. They are about the same length of a normal 30 rounder. The 45's are just long because thats how they're designed.

Yeah, honestly the fat 60's should take up additional space somehow, not sure if length makes sense, but generally you arent shoving those in regular mag pouches. Allowing the long ones makes sense. Great mod.

The other 'fat and girthy' mags end up being 4 square spaces. That's even more crazy imo.
